Remember when finding comfort school meant purchasing a few notebooks, a whole new box of crayons, and new shoes? If you wore a uniform to high school, you most likely got one particular too; otherwise, you still have a couple of new outfits. Which was it.


Well, times have changed. The provision list now contains things that was once provided by the faculties – like scissors, glue and tissues. Every child wants a new backpack, notebooks, paper, pens (red, blue and black), glue sticks, ruler, tape, scissors, markers, folders as well as a calculator. When you have two children so you shop the sales, you may still turn out coughing up a lot more than $100.00 in supplies alone. Knowning that doesn’t even count the modern clothes your child “has to have” or fees which can be required for art projects, lab costs, etc.

Don’t even get me going on the supplies, including furniture and appliances, your kids needs for faculty. Does it ever end?

1) Recycle – Determine everything you have at home. It is likely you have assorted crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. already there your house. Put these together within a pencil box and that should help you save a couple of bucks.

2) Re-use – Kids think that last year’s backpack needs to go, but a quick trip with the washer may provide it new life.

3) Reduce – Does your son or daughter use a notebook from a year ago containing three pages of written material within it and 77 blank pages left? Have you find this notebook in the trash – or worse – the trash? Now could be a great time to go over waste and keeping it down through getting one of the most use possible out of every item.
