When Jesus came and brought the gospel of Christianity it was welcomed from the masses as exceptionally nice thing about it. Thousands followed him to listen to what of life that they spoke. After he was crucified, his disciples continued preaching and teaching his ways and they also were likewise welcomed because bringers of good news.
Of course not citizens were thrilled only at that new teaching. The established religion of the day opposed it violently, even putting many to death for preaching the language of God. They whipped, beat, imprisoned and crucified lots who thought we would follow or teach the new gospel. Yet in spite of the suffering inflicted, they couldn’t destroy this teaching or halt multiplication on this great news.
One of many charges laid from the early teachers of this gospel was they, “Turned the entire world upside down” using this type of teaching (Acts 17:6). Truly, the brand new teachings of the gospel of Christ were very good news and tremendously powerful.
Many people encourage several things, although not many would elect to suffer abuse, torture, ridicule or even die rather than renounce their beliefs. But such was the enormity and power this great news.
Consider even the condition of the apostles shortly after Jesus had been put to death. These were subdued and meeting in Jerusalem, wondering how to proceed next after their Lord and teacher had been taken from them. On account of these and a lot of other things, man is continually in a condition of stress.
Just watch the night time news or pick up a newspaper and you’ll see the sin and evil rampant these days which has man rolling around in its grip. It is tremendously stressful to determine or read these products. Pressure and tension build until many people reach the point where they wish it will all disappear or they might escape the strain.
To be removed because of this stress would truly be not only good news, but Nice thing about it. Which is just what Jesus and the disciples offered of their teachings, and why the people flocked to listen to these words in the great news in the gospel of Christ.
The facts in the Gospel is around freedom, which is on the market today just like it was during this time period. What’s promising of the gospel offers freedom from bondage, freedom from sin, freedom from stress and freedom coming from all the pressures of this world. And when you have freedom from all of these you will find the another thing this world cannot share with you… peace.
For those who receive the truth of the gospel there’s an inner peace, which comes from knowing Jesus and applying his teachings that you experienced. If you are at peace within, this no longer matters what are the world throws at you since it can’t affect you if you do not give it time to. Peace within presently of effective disaster and troubles is actually nice thing about it plus a real blessing to everyone who find and receive it.
