There are the classic Who, What, When, Where and Why within this comic thriller.
The cast of characters are settling in for their new situations. They believe that nothing much ought to be happening to upset that world, yet, these are surprisingly wrong.
This tale of innuendo, gossip, lies, misdirection and intrigue results in authentically like a comedy of errors and misinformation. The idea is not hard enough and subtle enough to provide a good base.
Ma Foster provides housing on her “girls,” Bella, Chloe and Kitty. Typically the three in residence are missing. Ma constitutes a big deal regarding it. She even goes to a nearby newspaper if the local police don’t act upon her fears. She does appeal to the out-of-work detective, the new editor of the local newspaper and finally the town itself.
The central character is Henrietta, who was simply named following your town involved, Henryetta, Oklahoma. Henrietta provides extensive choosing her today, she has transferred to the important city, OKC, OK and landed employment together with the local t.v. station. Although this doesn’t strengthen your journalistic career, it lets you do get her in the center of Guide and events of the afternoon. The usual players for Henryetta are Wynona Sue, Henrietta’s hairdresser mother stars inside a “reality” show, see later. Her husband, Professor LeHough, a neighborhood bug expert is bald coming from a surprise shaving. Rodney, Henrietta’s boyfriend, camera man buddy and overall companion is pulled and tugged by Henrietta and her immediate boss Miss Peg. Harold Mixon, the dog owner and editor emeritus of the local weekly newspaper, just lately put on the web is trying to use a pleasant and quiet Labor Day weekend together with his friends in the International Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.).
One other main characters are Gigi Carpenter, a feminist reporter turned editor of the local newspaper. Max (Maximo) Morgan a would-be gum shoe private eye using a penchant for old murder mysteries, especially Dashiel Hammet’s “Fat Man” tales. Then Deano DeBoffo because “reality” show director trying to shot an airplane pilot for a new show. Finally, Shatner Lapp, like a newsman, publisher, editor and all-round traditional boy, concerns town to aid in his Princeton buddy’s newspaper problems.
Once these folks have a go at the gossip laden townsfolk, the misinformation flies. With an increase of rumors then a facts probably warrant, a few missing girls be plus more objects of speculation and intrigue while almost no factual info is given. The rumors start off mild because missing girls are simply sought out by Ma and Maximo.
These rumors and gossip finally resulted in a serious “reporter war” between Shat and Gigi. The misinformation here becomes the avalanche cascading within the news and therefore the townspeople.
