The tunes name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks sound is a unique up-tempo rock n roll track. Mark wrote and partially studio recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo song since then awaiting the chance to record once again. In August 2016 Mark started the recording process and used local session players to record the track over a 6 week period. The songs consists of 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was done in the USA as a result of Mark needed the very best outcome and quality. The music is now ready to be heard and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ Website.
The main goal of studio recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many folks to the Tsunami Day website as possible and then hopefully in-turn they’ll be good enough to give to at least one or all of the Phuket island charities, and to also buy the song.
The other primary goal is to be able enough downloads of the tune to fund and set up a Phuket live music bar with open stage and recording studio / training room on Phuket, that will present free lessons and tuition to local underprivileged children from the local colleges and orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ is not open yet but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day web site to promote his tune Tsunami Day which was influenced from his own particular experiences while he was residing in Patong in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there is numerous ways to help including a Phuket island Villa and cheap flights to Phuket booking system. Every cent helps.
