A brand new 2016 Xmas rock-POP tune has been written, created and then recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main aim of providing attention and exposure for the Phuket charity and Orphanage that Mark supports. The songs title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs is a unique up-tempo rock/rock-pop song. Mark wrote and semi recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo song since then looking forward to the opportunity to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark started the recording process and used local session players to record the music over a 6 week period. The songs consists of 8 separate tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the female lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was done in the United States as a result of Mark wanted the most effective outcome and quality. The music is now ready to be listened to and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The key purpose of recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many folks to the Tsunami Day web site that we can and then we hope in-turn they’ll be good enough to donate to 1 or every one of the Phuket charities, and to also download the track.
Another main goal is to have enough downloads of the tune to fund and create a Phuket live music bar with open stage and recording studio / training room on Phuket, which will offer free classes and tuition to local underprivileged children from the area’s colleges and children’s orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ isn’t open yet but the internet site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day web site to promote his song Tsunami Day which was inspired from his own particular experiences while he was living in Patong back in 2004 when the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and . On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there’s numerous methods to help including a Phuket Resort and cheap flight booking to Thailand booking system. Every dime helps.
