A brand new 2016 Christmas rock song has been written, created and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key aim of providing attention and exposure for the Phuket charity and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket web site .

The tunes title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs is a unique up-tempo rock n roll song. Mark wrote and partially studio recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo song since then awaiting the chance to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark started the studio recording process and used local session players to record the music over a 6 week period. The songs includes 8 differant tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was made in the USA as a result of Mark wanted the most effective result and quality. The song is currently ready to be listened to and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ Website.
The main purpose of recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day web site as possible and then we hope in-turn they will be good enough to donate to 1 or all the Phuket charities, and to also download the track.
One other main goal is to be able enough downloads of the track to help fund and set up a Phuket live music cafe with open stage and studio / training room on Phuket, that will provide free lessons and tuition to local underprivileged children from the neighborhood colleges and children’s orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ is not currently open yet but the website is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day site to market his music Tsunami Day which was inspired from his own particular experiences while he was residing in Patong back in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there’s numerous ways to help including a Phuket Resort and cheap flights to Thailand booking system. Every dime helps.
